In celebration of Pro Bono Week 2013, we hosted the first ever #AllViner, a 24-hr work-around the clock creative blitz to help a cause tell their story and the impact they are making in a short film made entirely out of 6-second vines.
The selected beneficiary of our event, Swipes for the Homeless, is a nonprofit program that allows university students to donate their unused meal points at the end of each semester towards purchasing food that they then deliver to those facing food insecurity.
Swipes was selected out of 18 participants in our call for entries social media campaign that asked causes to tweet at us about why they should be chosen for the #AllViner. The collective outreach – which can be tracked on social media via the hashtag #AllViner – spanned across 983,000 people, accomplished over 50 direct supporters, and resulted in 18 submissions from causes.
The #AllViner took place at the Hub Los Angeles from October 22nd – October 23rd. The entire effort was donated pro bono by a team of 6 talented filmmakers, storytellers, illustrators, and artists and served as an opportunity for us to embrace adventure, work within our local community, and co-create something compelling for social good.
